The Quartet
The Confringo Piano Quartet is made up of four young musicians from Germany and Serbia. They met while studying in Berlin and Hanover. Following several concerts at a chamber music festival, they decided to explore the diverse repertoire of the piano quartet together. As well as performing the great works of the classical and romantic periods, the quartet also has a keen interest in contemporary music.
Awards
The musicians have won numerous individual prizes at international competitions and have studied with renowned teachers such as Ulf Wallin, Jens Peter Maintz, Tabea Zimmermann and Bernd Götzke.
In 2024, the quartet won the Hans Gál Prize, presented annually by Villa Musica Rhineland-Palatinate and the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz to an international young musician ensemble. As recipients of a scholarship from the German Music Competition 2024, they will perform concerts throughout Germany during the 2025/26 season as part of the competition's concert promotion programme.
