Johanna Rosa Falkinger, soprano

Trained in Vienna and Linz, her engagements have taken her to the Salzburg Festival, the Wuppertal Opera and the Vienna Burgtheater, among others. This year, the winner of international competitions can be heard with Jordi Savall in Mendelssohn's Midsummer Night's Dream at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, but she has also performed with the Concentus Musicus and the Vienna Academy.

Johanna Rosa Falkinger is a versatile Austrian soprano who began her studies in singing, piano and choir conducting at Anton Bruckner University in Linz with Christa Ratzenböck (Erasmus- semester at Sibelius Academy Helsinki). In 2023 she finished her master studies for early music singing at MUK (music and arts university of the city of Vienna) with Roberta Invernizzi and for voice pedagogy at mdw (university of music and performing arts Vienna) with Tanya Aspelmeier.

Projects at the Salzburg Festival (Ravel, L’enfant et les sortilèges, child), Donaufestwochen Strudengau (Stradella, Moro per Amore, Fiorino), Musikfestspiele Potsdam (Bernasconi, L´Huomo, Incosia), Helsinki Early Music Festival, Burgtheater – Musikverein- and Konzerthaus Vienna. Cooperation with Jordi Savall, Concentus Musicus Vienna, Ensemble 1700, L´Orfeo Barockorchester, Norwegian Baroque Ensemble, and with the vocalgroup company of music. 2021 she won the 2nd price at Concours Corneille (FR).

2022 she won the 1st price and audience price at Barocktage Stift Melk (AT) and was declared as winner and orchestra-favourite at the vocal competition Aria Borealis in Bodø (NO). Her aim as a musician is to cooperate, to create and spread the positive impact of music.
