The young Brit is shining ever brighter in the world of piano playing and is rapidly making a name for himself as a sought-after solo and chamber musician on the renowned stages of Europe. With excellent technique and virtuoso curiosity, the multi-award-winning student of Markus Schirmer is dedicated to music as a universal language.

Winner of the 4th Bechstein Bruckner Competition

Originally from the UK, Vincent Ling has already performed at various prestigious venues such as Wigmore Hall in London and gave a solo recital in the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall in November 2017. Prior to this, he studied with Nataša Lipovšek at the Royal College of Music Junior Department on a scholarship. Vincent has enjoyed international success in numerous competitions. He won first prize at the Nordic International Piano Competition 2021 and the special prize of the city of Fulda at the Pianale – International Festival and Competition 2022, as well as first prize and the Bartok Prize at the Belá Bartok International Piano Competition 2024. He won all these awards while studying for his bachelor's degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with concert pianist and professor Markus Schirmer.

In 2024, he won the 4th Bechstein Bruckner Competition and subsequently performed in the C. Bechstein concert series at the Brucknerhaus Linz.

Vincent Ling receives regular invitations to various concert halls in England, Spain, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, and Bolivia, and has performed at international festivals such as the Arsonore International Music Festival 2019 in Graz.

In 2022, he made his solo debut in the Glass Hall of the Vienna Musikverein with a program he curated himself, focusing on the composer Reynaldo Hahn. He was also invited to perform in the “Earthquake” concert series for young international artists in Friedrichshafen.

The year 2024 was marked by Vincent's return to Fulda, where he played an all-Beethoven program featuring the Diabelli Variations and was celebrated by the Fuldaer Zeitung as “someone who believes in his own greatness.”

He has worked with world-renowned pianists such as Joanna Macgregor, Anne Queffélec, Uta Weyand, Ewa Pobłocka, Piotr Paleczny, Ronan O'Hora, Matti Raekallio, Fillipo Gamba, and William Fong in numerous master classes and can look forward to future engagements as both a solo artist and chamber musician in Austria, Germany, England, and France.
