The Styriarte Youth Orchestra is looking for you to join one of the greatest orchestral works in music history: Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection.” Become part of an epic concert project under the direction of Maestra Mei-Ann Chen and apply now for the orchestra camp!

We are looking for young musicians who are still studying or who, after completing their studying, have not yet taken a relevant professional position.
Requirements for your participation
You are available for the entire production period (July 11–18, 2026).
You are between 16 and 27 years old.
You can organize your own arrival and departure.
We offer you
The opportunity to work with Maestra Mei-Ann Chen and selected coaches.
The experience of working in a professional, multicultural orchestral environment organized by a renowned cultural institution.
Accommodation and meals for the entire production period, as well as a flat compensation of EUR 300.
Dates
11 July 2026 (afternoon): Arrival
12 July 2026: Start of rehearsals
16 July 2026: Dress rehearsal
16 July 2026 (7 PM): Performance #1 at the Helmut List Hall in Graz
17 July 2026 (7 PM): Performance #2 at the Helmut List Hall in Graz
18 July 2026 (morning): Departure

In the app, search for “Styriarte Youth Orchestra 2026” - there you’ll find the available positions you can apply for.
Record your introduction video as well as the required audition excerpts directly in the app using your phone. You have three attempts before the recording is sent to us.
Don’t worry: for us, the sound is more important than the image! So please try to film yourself as close as possible—just make sure you don’t disappear behind a music stand. ;)
Don’t forget: the application deadline is January 15, 2026!
You will receive the results on February 26 directly through the app.
