The double show ‘A Symphonic Tribute to ABBA’ with Monika Ballwein and the Styriarte Festival Orchestra under the direction of Elisabeth Fuchs on July 14 is approaching ‘sold out’ status. The artists of the evening have therefore agreed to perform their dress rehearsal for the public on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 6 pm in the Helmut List Halle and to donate all proceeds from this additional performance to Styrian Caritas on the occasion of its 100th anniversary.

The ticket prices for this public dress rehearsal are 50% of the prices for the performances, EUR 18/36/54.

Juli müssen ABBA-Fans in Graz nicht lange nachdenken, wo sie mit ihrer „Dancing Queen“ feiern: Die Styriarte erweist ABBA ihren Tribut im größten Stil mit Sinfonieorchester, Chor und Solisten. Monika Ballwein

Vocals

Monika Ballwein was born and grew up in Lower Austria. The accordion was her first great musical love. But the fire doesn't just burn in her fingers: It was her voice that brought Monika Ballwein triumphs. And she is the first authorised teacher in Austria to teach according to the principles of CVT (complete vocal technique).

Jasmin Rituper

Tanz & Choreographie

Austrian Jasmin Rituper, trained in dance, aerial acrobatics, yoga, acting, stunts and choreography, has travelled far and wide in the course of her training and career to date, including Amsterdam, New York and Los Angeles. She has recently focussed on the digital sector, but also runs the GAIA event location in Salzburg and is Art Director of NEONOIR Artclub.

HIB.art.chor

Choir

Under the direction of Maria Fürntratt, the singers of the HIB.art.chor, consisting of students of the HIB Graz-Liebenau, have been offered comprehensive vocal training since 1995. In numerous international performances from Norway to South Africa and Shanghai to San Francisco, the choir's repertoire ranges from Austrian choral tradition to contemporary music.

Maria Fürntratt

Direction

The Graz-based teacher of school music, singing and French has received numerous educational and artistic awards for her choral work at the HIB Graz-Liebenau - most recently the Nikolaus Harnoncourt Culture Prize of the Province of Styria in 2018. Maria Fürntratt has also been a senior lecturer for choral pedagogy, teaching and vocal practice and children's and youth voice training at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz since 2007.

Styriarte Festival Orchestra

Orchestra

Styriarte's orchestral "Supergroup" is made up of changing international star guests and musicians from the first-class fund of the Recreation orchestra, depending on need and occasion. The orchestra's tuning and choice of instruments follow the historical requirements of the works performed.

Elisabeth Fuchs

Conductor

The Austrian principal conductor of the Salzburg Philharmonic studied orchestral conducting, oboe, school music and mathematics. Elisabeth Fuchs loves to break musical boundaries, which has led to special collaborations with greats such as Stjepan Hauser of 2Cellos or Rolando Villazon.
