Time and again, the New World in Dvořák‘s 9th sounds new and fresh
Time and again, the New World in Dvořák‘s 9th sounds new and fresh, even after 130 years. Iván Eröd’s Concerto for Three Clarinets and Orchestra, performed for the first time in 2016 by the Vienna Philharmonic, is in fact quite new, however, and played for us by Andrea Götsch, Alexander & Michael Gurfinkel, Mei-Ann Chen goes further still: she combines the huge sound of America, her home of choice, with the tones of her native Taiwan in the far east.
