lively guitar sounds

It need not always be performed by a Spanish musician: Petrit Çeku, the vivacious guitarist from Kosovo, has Rodrigo’s famous Concierto de Aranjuez at his fingertips, too. The summer palace of the Spanish kings, in the park of which the blind composer loved to walk, was also a source of inspiration for the young Romantic composer Arriaga. The only symphony he ever wrote is a stroke of genius, and conductor Paul Goodwin lends it the elan of a “Spanish Schubert”.
