Two become one:
two youthful and renowned string quartets each play music by Gerd Kühr and Fanny Mendelssohn. Then they join forces to play the octet composed by Fanny’s brother Felix – the most ingenius sound ever conceived for eight string players. Gerd Kühr, the philosopher among the contemporary Austrian composers, creates a completely new quartet sound – extraordinary experiences in a seemingly familiar genre.
