Johannes Brahms was in an especially good mood
... when he performed chamber music with his Hungarian friends Jenő Hubay and David Popper. Three contemporary virtuosi tread in the footsteps of their famous predecessors: violinist Linus Roth from Augsburg, cellist Julian Steckel from the Palatinate and pianist Markus Schirmer from Graz. Together they present a portrait of Brahms between Bad Ischl and Budapest in the year 1889.
The performance lasts 60-70 minutes without an interval.
