Marian motets in the magnificent baroque church of Pöllau
The Arnold Schoenberg Chor recounts the life of the Virgin Mary in the beautiful baroque church at Pöllau. For centuries women have prayed to her in the face of hardships in their daily life. The Virgin Mother of God consoled them in times of trial. Conductor Erwin Ortner has chosen some of the most touching Marian motets ever written. After the majestic sounds From Heinrisch Schütz and Johannes Brahms, the audience sets off on a guided walk through the picturesque landscape, with musical interludes of Schubert choruses, brass and folk music.
The performance lasts approx. 3 hours including the walk.

Procedure
The Hike
The walking route has only slight gradients and is approximately 5km long. The walk takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. Basic seating will be available at the stops. Sturdy footwear is required. The walk will also take place in light rain. A snack is included in the ticket price.
