Winner of the highly prestigious Canadian Banff Chamber Music Competition
The four young members of the Marmen Quartet from London were the winners at the illustrious Banff International String Quartet Competition 2019 in Canada, and we are delighted to be bringing these newcomers to Graz. And with them a little drama to our otherwise light-hearted series of concerts, as our Meerschein season closes with Johannes Brahms’s String Quartet No. 1, a roller-coaster of emotions. Perhaps the music of the young New Zealand composer Salina Fisher can soothe the agitated souls?
