With Haydn’s “Surprise” Symphony, Wolfgang Redik spielt auf einer Geige von Giovanni Battista Guadagnini bei Styriarte 2023. Wolfgang Redik opens a triumphant Mozart festival as conductor and violinist. The ballet music from Idomeneo follows the Flute Concerto in G, in which rising young star Fabian Egger vor einer grauen Wand, in schwarzem anzug mit weißem Shirt und einer goldenen Querflöte in der rechten Hand Fabian Egger makes his instrument sing.

Wolfgang Redik demonstrates delightfully the resounding effect with which Haydn roused his sleepy London audience. With the final ballet music from Idomeneo, he follows Mozart to Munich’s Cuvilliés Theatre, where the Salzburg composer once unleashed unparalleled orchestral splendour. With Mozart’s Mannheim Concerto in G Major, the young Bavarian Fabian Egger from Traunstein reveals what enabled him to win the world’s most prestigious flute competition before he even turned 20.

Recreation - The Orchestra

Recreation is special in many ways: consisting of musicians whose nationalities range from Japan to Venezuela, most of the members received part of their training in Graz. After its formation in 2002, the collective has played in unique halls such as the Alte Oper Frankfurt and has worked with outstanding conductors.
