The fascinating world of in-between spaces
A new music programme blending klezmer and classical music.
Moritz Weiß and the Styrian Klezmore String Quartet forge links between klezmer and classical art music. While breathing the atmosphere of classical music, the string quartet engages in a dialogue with Moritz Weiß’s expressive clarinet. Their programme Stories in Between centres on compositions that navigate the space between the passionate expression of the klezmorim and the classical music tradition. With a blend of dance-like lightness and melancholic intimacy, the five musicians transcend boundaries within a fascinating world of in-between spaces.
