Advent concert
Alfredo Bernardini as entertainer and virtuoso baroque oboist – who could resist? In 2023’s Advent concert he savours the touches of humour in Bach’s Orchestral Suite No.1: the “rocking” Forlane, the jazzy Bourée, the final catchy Passepied. With Handel’s Oboe Concerto in G Minor he embraces the emotional, and with Corelli’s Christmas Concerto the genre of dulcet shepherd’s music. The Recreation musicians are in step with the maestro – in the choreography for the encore too.
