Every child knows that the week has seven days, just like the month has four weeks. The ancient Egyptians and Babylonians knew this too and named their days of the week after the stars and the gods associated with them. Later on, Roman gods were added to the calendar, before Germanic gods and finally Christian names joined them as well. But the seven days have remained unchanged.
