Photography Competition 'LICHT SPIELE'
We invite you to become part of this year’s Styriarte: Under the motto ‘LICHT SPIELE’, the festival will present 32 concert projects in Graz and the Styrian regions from June 26 to July 26, all devoted to musical beacons and moments of brilliance. To promote the programme, we are now looking for your perspective on the radiance within all of us.
What are we looking for?
Photographs that depict inner radiance in artistic ways. Primarily, we are seeking candid images of people.
What do we offer?
For the photograph selected by us, there is a prize of EUR 800.
Who can participate?
Everyone! Professional photographers, hobby photographers, art students, etc.
Each person may submit up to 5 photographs.
How do I submit my photo?
By April 20 2026, send it to Andrea Kern kern@styriarte.com.
What is important?
You must have full rights to your image so that it can be used as a promotional material for Styriarte 2026 in print and digital formats. If recognizable people are depicted, their consent forms must be obtained. Participants are responsible for ensuring that the publication does not infringe the rights of third parties (e.g., trademark or property rights).
You grant Haus Styriarte the unrestricted rights in terms of time, location, and purpose to use the awarded images for marketing and communication purposes in print and digital media.
Technical specifications:
· The photo must work in both portrait and landscape formats.
· File format: JPEG
· Minimum resolution: e.g., 300 dpi at at least 3000 px, 63 × 29.7 cm
· Images must not contain watermarks, logos, or borders.
· For further use, the original file (RAW or high-resolution file) may be requested for winning images.
What are we not looking for?
We are looking for your genuinely captured moment, not AI-generated or AI-based images. The use of classic photo editing (e.g., color correction, contrast, brightness, cropping) is allowed. Photo montages, composings, or heavily manipulative edits are also permitted.
