Her great aria is Casta Diva, a prayer to the moon, which was the inspiration for Franz Liszt’s exuberant virtuoso piece Réminiscences de Norma. Virtuoso pianist Kristina Miller plays the fantasy as part of a programme that is apparently steeped in moonlight, from Claude Debussy’s Clair de Lune to jazz standards.
