an unforgettable hour of nostalgia
It is the early 1970s and the whole country resonates with the sound of the new “Austropop”. Wolfgang Ambros is number 1 in the charts with Da Hofa. A few years later, a young man from Vienna sees ski jumper Falko Weißpflog take off from the ski jump, and his career as a pop singer takes off too when he adopts the name Falco. In Styria Steinbäcker, Timischl and Schiffkowitz found the band STS. The Styriarte recalls five decades of Austropop – along with Mozart and Johann Strauss the country’s most successful music brands. Eddie Luis takes the roles of Falco, Ambros and co., making for an unforgettable hour of nostalgia.
