Revolution of Love

„Es fühlt sich an, als wären wir eine Seele in zwei Körpern.“ Das sagt der iranische Komponist Majid Montazer über seine Freundschaft mit dem Klarinettisten Giora Feidman. Vier Tage nach seinem 90. Geburtstag kommt der „King of Klezmer“ nach Graz, um Montazers Musik zu spielen, denn für Feidman ist sie „nicht nur schön, sie ist eine spirituelle Nahrung für die Seele.“ Die beiden Musiker verbindet eine gemeinsame Mission: die Welt durch eine „Revolution der Liebe“ besser zu machen. Wenn das keine Botschaft für den Palmsonntag ist!

Giora Feidman

Already in the 1970s he was crowned the “King of Klezmer” in New York. Today, the clarinettist born in Buenos Aires in 1936 is regarded as a living icon of music history – a visionary bridge-builder between the “Jewish soul” and the sounds of the world. Millions of fans follow Giora Feidman on his musical adventures, which time and again also lead him to the Styriarte in Graz.
