Revolution of Love

“It feels as if we are one soul in two bodies.” This is what Iranian composer Majid Montazer says about his friendship with clarinetist Giora Feidman. Four days after his 90th birthday, the “King of Klezmer” comes to Graz to play Montazerʼs music, because for Feidman it is “not just beautiful, it is spiritual nourishment for the soul.” The two musicians share a common mission: to make the world a better place through a “revolution of love”. That is what you call a message for Palm Sunday!

Giora Feidman

Already in the 1970s he was crowned the “King of Klezmer” in New York. Today, the clarinettist born in Buenos Aires in 1936 is regarded as a living icon of music history – a visionary bridge-builder between the “Jewish soul” and the sounds of the world. Millions of fans follow Giora Feidman on his musical adventures, which time and again also lead him to the Styriarte in Graz.
