With Styrian harmonica, marimba and handpans, the innovative trio Quetsch ´n´ Vibes fröhlich lachend Quetsch ´n´ Vibes unfolds a colourful musical "kaleidoscope" from Bach to waltzes to Bizet and their own musical pieces.

Das steirische Trio Quetsch ´n´ Vibes exportiert das Instrument seiner Heimat – die Steirische Harmonika – in verschiedenste Stilrichtungen und kombiniert es mit für Volksmusik eher untypischen Instrumenten, von Vibraphon & Marimba über Handpans & Mbira bis zur Singenden Säge. Wiener Musik der Strauß-Ära über Bach & Bizet bis hin zu Eigenkompositionen – Quetsch ´n´ Vibes entfaltet für uns ein buntes musikalisches Kaleidoskop, in dem die Steirische Harmonika weit abseits ihres natürlichen Habitats eine neue Heimat findet.

Music by Johannes Kölbl, Johann Sebastian Bach (Jesus bleibet meine Freude), Leonhard Waltersdorfer, Franz Lehár (Gold und Silber), Johann Strauß (Tritsch-Tratsch-Polka), Georges Bizet, Julius Fučík (Florentiner Marsch) a. o.

The performance lasts 60 to 70 minutes and is played without an intermission.

Jonny Kölbl (Styrian harmonica & percussion), Leo Waltersdorfer (vibraphone & percussion) and Hannes Schöggl (marimba & percussion) have made it their task to stage the instrument of their homeland with their own compositions and exciting arrangements and thus combine the Styrian harmonica with the most diverse styles.
