Content

a journey into the depths of the soul

When Dörte Lyssewski recites poetry, Romanticism does not begin with Eichendorff’s Mondnacht (Moonlit Night). She makes of Goethe’s An den Mond (To the Moon) a journey into the depths of the soul and human yearning. Where words go so far that they create a musical language, it takes the musical poetry of a Schumann to respond in sound. The young, award-winning Confringo Piano Quartet makes its Styriarte debut with the infinitely subtle Piano Quartet by the Romantic composer from Zwickau, flanked by romances by his wife Clara and his friend Mendelssohn as well as Fanny.
