John Williams has told us the story so many times in his film scores, and still we are slow to believe it? When Indiana Jones, Luke Skywalker and Harry Potter set out on their missions, it is all about the ultimate, saving the world and defeating the forces of darkness. How wonderful that the greatest film heroes are instantly recognizable by their melodies! Ursina Braun and her six cellists tell of Star Wars, Hogwarts and victory over the henchmen of evil.

Ursina Braun

The musician, born in Zurich in 1992, lives out her intensely personal approach to music in the world of composition, which she discovered for herself at the age of 14. Much earlier she decided on her instrument, the violoncello, with which she has won numerous international prizes. Stylistically, she can do everything - from baroque to modern.

Christine Roider

The German cellist has already performed with the Trio Artio in Berlin and New York City. As a highly acclaimed guest performer with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra and the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra, the dynamic sound specialist has a subtle bow, which she passes on to the next generation as a cello teacher in Salzburg and Vienna.

Sinéad O'Halloran

As a soloist, as a guest of renowned orchestras such as the European Union Youth Orchestra and as a cellist in the award-winning Marmen Quartet, the young Irishwoman performs new, exciting facets of her instrument. The winner of the prestigious RNCM Gold Medal 2021 is also co-founder and artistic director of the Ortús Chamber Music Festival in her home town of Cork.

Kajana Pačko

Trained in Zagreb, Berlin and Salzburg, the Croatian solo and chamber musician performs for renowned concert halls and festivals throughout Europe, including with the Croatian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Cappella Academica Berlin. The cellist has also directed the international festival for classical music ZAGREBplus since 2021.
