There is great excitement in the world of music when the Waltz King turns 200. Far removed from the turmoil of the official anniversary celebrations in Vienna, actor Ursula Strauss and violinist cum conductor Wolfgang Redik present an authentic, cleverly conceived and exciting evening of Strauss. Humorous texts by Thomas Höft comment on the music selection, which 3/4 timeswings between rare works and old favourites. Who could resist waltzing along in 3/4 time?

At least since her role as a sharp-witted TV detective in ‘Schnell ermittelt’, the Melk-born actress has been one of Austria's most popular TV faces. Her acting has already been honoured five times with a Romy, the German Film Critics' Award, the Austrian Film Prize and at the Diagonale.

Recreation is special in many ways: consisting of musicians whose nationalities range from Japan to Venezuela, most of the members received part of their training in Graz. After its formation in 2002, the collective played unique halls such as the Alte Oper Frankfurt and worked with outstanding conductors.
