“Me? No, why? I'll do it this way.”

This was unforeseen when Werner Holzwarth published the children’s book The Story of the Little Mole Who Knew It Was None of His Business in 1989. Loved by generations of small children to this day, it has been translated into 27 languages, and has even inspired an opera. Styriarte, of course, asked their “Kids’ Captain”, Christoph Steiner, to create a stage adaptation, which will address the crucial question: “Me? No, why? I'll do it this way.”

Michael Stark

Creating extraordinary experiences through voice and sound is Michael Stark’s field of expertise. Since studying German literature and acting in Vienna, he has worked on German-speaking stages as a musician, actor and theatre composer. Stark has presented his experimental sound projects at the Vienna Festival and Wien Modern. At the Vienna Konzerthaus, the multidisciplinary artist hosts a concert series for young audiences.

Ines Futter­knecht

Ines Futterknecht lives and works in Vienna. As a photographer and videographer, she regularly explores the intersections of music, photography and visual art, creating projects with artists such as Austrian singer-songwriter OSKA and dialect pop singer Lia Nell. As a photographic artist, Ines Futterknecht most recently presented the series "wie gewachsen".

Christoph Steiner

As an actor, writer, singer and Austrian poetry slam champion, Graz-born Christoph Steiner is at home on many stages and impresses both as a musical theatre performer at Graz Opera and as a permanent member of the ensemble at Next Liberty. As head of the children’s programme at Styriarte, he devises the most fantastic youth programmes for all age groups.
