For 10 years, the duo
BartolomeyBittmann
have been travelling their own paths together as "progressive strings vienna" and are now celebrating this in a colourful programme.
BartolomeyBittmann is a duo of cellist Matthias Bartolomey and violonist and mandola player Klemens Bittmann, founded in 2012 by. With spontaneity and improvisation, the duo combines the classical music tradition with elements of jazz.
It is not always necessary to pack a suitcase to go on a journey. Sometimes it is sufficient simply to explore new paths in familiar terrain. For the last ten years, duo BartolomeyBittmann have been developing a new repertoire for their classical instruments, experimenting with new techniques for playing the cello, violin and mandola. Their music ranges from powerful rock riffs to intimate grooves and tender cantilenas. “Zehn”, their anniversary programme, features many new pieces.
