Mozart's most beautiful arias

In der Grazer Oper und bei der Styriarte war Tetiana Miyus in vielen Mozart-Rollen zu erleben: als Susanna, Pamina und Donna Elvira. Zum historischen Klang des Hammerflügels singt die Ukrainierin mit der betörenden Stimme nun einige der schönsten Arien von Mozart und seinen Zeitgenossen. Tränenreicher Abschied, verzweifelte Wut, die Macht und Ohnmacht der Liebe sind die Themen des Programms. Die ganz besondere Note kommt von ihrem Ehemann Stanislav Zhukovsky an der Oboe. Bei Johann Christian Bach und Giuseppe Gazzaniga werfen Sopran und Oboe einander im verliebten Dialog die Bälle zu.

Tetiana Miyus

Soprano

The agile, flawlessly radiant soprano and the infectious enthusiasm of the Ukrainian have delighted Graz opera audiences since 2011 in major roles from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern eras. She has also repeatedly earned acclaim at the Styriarte in productions under Michael Hofstetter, Andrés Orozco Estrada and Andreas Stoehr.

Stanislav Zhukovsky

oboe

Ukrainian-born Stanislav Zhukovsky was drawn to Graz for his master's degree in oboe, where he played in the Recreation Orchestra from 2016. With the 2021/22 season he was engaged as principal oboist at the Staatstheater Saarbrücken and in 2022 took up the position of first cor anglais in the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn. His secret love is also jazz, which he can give space to in his own band.

Florian Birsak

Fortepiano

The Salzburg native is one of the most respected specialists in historically informed performance practice on the fortepiano and clavichord. His outstanding basso continuo playing makes him a sought-after continuo partner for numerous top orchestras, and he also shines as a stylistically confident soloist and chamber musician in baroque and classical music.
