The mysteries of the rosary on 2 evenings
Prince Johann Seyfried von Eggenberg was good at collecting Baroque geniuses. The gifted Bohemian violinist Geiger Heinrich Biber apparently also performed at Eggenberg as a teenager. Lina Tur Bonet plays his famous Rosary Sonatas over two evenings in Graz’s Minoritensaal. Biber translated the mysteries of the rosary into 15 ecstatic, mystical and fantastic sonatas; today Lina Tur Bonet plays them as no other can.

The violinist from Spain inspires audiences and fellow musicians with her dedication to unknown, unpublished, or rediscovered works and demonstrates her virtuosity as a concert master in baroque ensembles, as a chamber musician and as a soloist.
This conglomerate of virtuosos rummages wildly in all realms of art. Viennese marionettes dancing to Biber's Rosary Sonatas? Eight Seasons from the pens of Vivaldi and Piazzolla? Behind it all is the grandiose genius of the Spanish devil violinist Lina Tur Bonet. With this ensemble, she realises moving mammoth concerts and interdisciplinary music projects across Europe.
