Manuela Kerer

Composer

With her compositions, the native South Tyrolean has already attracted international attention. But it is not only music that she is passionate about, in addition to her studies in composition and violin, she also completed her studies in law and psychology.

Blasmusik St. Johann bei Herberstein

Musikkapelle

Zwoadreivier

Ensemble

Clearly ambiguous! True to this motto, the female vocal trio from Graz takes on local folk music and presents old as well as long-forgotten songs in a particularly fresh and cheerful way.

Rupert Fankhauser

clarinet

The clarinetist has been a member of the well-known vienna clarinet connection since 1997 and teaches as a professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In addition to engagements with the Vienna and Berlin Philharmonic Orchestras and the Cape Town Symphony Orchestra, he has also participated in numerous concerts and recordings with the Concentus Musicus Wien under Nikolaus Harnoncourt and is also involved with yoga and the body as an instrument.

Wolfgang Kornberger

clarinet

Wolfgang Kornberger’s roots of training lie in Eastern Styria. Later, the clarinetist studied with members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, where he now teaches himself. In addition to numerous engagements as an orchestral musician and tours through countries such as Korea, he has played the solo clarinet in the Styriarte Festival Orchestra since 2014.

Content

healing waters

The healing waters of some particular places have always been a good reason for a little trip. Bad Pyrmont in Lower Saxony is perhaps too far for the Styriarte, but Telemann sends us greetings from there. We can walk to Maria Fieberbründl in eastern Styria, the site of a spa and place of pilgrimage, Maria and her healing spring, a good place to take the waters.
