Mozart knew exactly why he took his seven-year-old son Carl Thomas with him to see his Magic Flute. To this day no other opera fills children with such fascination. Papageno and Papagena, the prince and princess, the magic flute and the magic glockenspiel – in Christoph Steiner’s one-hour, child-friendly version, this scenario unfolds in all its brilliance for our young and young-at-heart concertgoers.

Valentina Inzko Fink

As a bold princess in the Soundflix show “Spieglein, Spieglein,” the Carinthian proved her talent for belting out hits, which she had honed at the August Everding Theater Academy in Munich. Numerous musical roles later, she made her debut at the Ronacher in 2024 in the Falco musical and is now a fixture on the local pop scene as the lead singer of the band “ROBA.”

Matthias Liener

After studying singing in Vienna, the Weinviertel native and former choirboy was drawn to the musical theater stage, where he now performs a wide repertoire ranging from operetta, modern opera, and spoken theater to musicals. In the domestic pop circus, the versatile musician performs with “Pizzera & Jaus” and his solo project “LIENER,” among others.

Cäcilia Raab has been studying singing at the KUG with Mardi Byers since 2023. Awards at Prima la musica 2024 led to solo performances in London and Brussels. As a member of Live Music Now, she captivates audiences with her expressiveness and stage presence.

António Sá-Dantas is a singer, composer and conductor specialising in early and contemporary music, as well as interdisciplinary stage projects. As a countertenor, haute contre and musical director of the vocal ensemble Accordare, he works internationally across Austria, the United Kingdom and Portugal. His artistic practice combines performance, composition and innovative concert formats.

Florian Gross

With a wide-ranging repertoire, a keen understanding of people and music, and the ability to step in at short notice to take the conductor’s podium, he is a much sought-after artist on European stages. Following his studies at the KUG, engagements have taken him to venues including the Hanover State Opera, the Konzerthaus Berlin and the Salzburg Festival. As musical assistant to Joana Mallwitz, he works with renowned orchestras across Europe – with upcoming engagements in Zurich, Salzburg, Baden-Baden and Berlin.

Christoph Steiner

As an actor, writer, singer and Austrian poetry slam champion, Graz-born Christoph Steiner is at home on many stages and impresses both as a musical theatre performer at Graz Opera and as a permanent member of the ensemble at Next Liberty. As head of the children’s programme at Styriarte, he devises the most fantastic youth programmes for all age groups.

Christina Bergner

Since 2008, Christina Bergner has worked as a freelance set designer and lighting designer/technician. She collaborates with various theatre companies to conceive and develop productions and leads the technical team at Styriarte. Her work allows her to combine practical craftsmanship with creative vision through the design of theatrical spaces and the realization of artistic installations.

Christina Helena Romirer

Christina Romirer lives and works in Vienna. Having studied stage design and transmedia art, she now works as a visual artist, scenographer and costume designer. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. Through sculptures, installations and interventions, she explores social structures, perception, language and the significance of everyday materials.

Anselm Schaufler

Anselm Schaufler, born in Vienna in 1970, studied the violin with Klaus Eichholz and composition with Beat Furrer, Bernhard Lang and Georg Friedrich Haas. He teaches at the Johann-Joseph-Fux Conservatoire in Graz and has received scholarships from the Darmstadt Summer Courses, as well as the Robert Stolz Prize, the City of Graz Music Promotion Prize and the Austrian State Promotion Prize. He composes for Graz Opera, Styriarte and steirischer herbst, as well as for ensembles spanning classical and pop music (including Opus), and is a member of several composers’ associations.
