“child prodigy” education experiment

When Mozart was a little boy of five, his father began the “child prodigy” education experiment with him: life-long learning through travel, listening, observing, composing and giving concerts. Chris Pichler reads from the words of Mozart’s father and his sister describing the rapid progress made by the little genius. Florian Birsak and his string ensemble play works that illustrate how Mozart’s creative accomplishments gradually developed in maturity – up to the great Piano Quintet in G minor, which he wrote when his own son Carl Thomas was one year old.
